About the role:Working within the Digital Transformation Program, the Project Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of a portfolio of digital projects, from initiation and planning through to implementation and transition to business as usual. A key focus of the role will be leading a significant information management initiative to modernise Council’s document management practices. This will involve working closely with stakeholders across Council to understand current information management requirements and practices, confirm business and technical requirements and design and plan the establishment of a new SharePoint environment and the delivery of safe migration of documents from ageing shared-drive infrastructure.
The role will also lead related information management iniatives to advance the archiving of information from legacy systems and to manage information risks within work areas.
Responsibilities:
- Apply the Art of Project Management
Key Requirements: Relevant tertiary qualification or professional certification in project management, information technology, business, information management or a related discipline, and/or substantial relevant qualified experience.
- Demonstrated experience delivering information management projects including the migration of documents from shared drives or legacy repositories to contemporary information management platforms, within a complex organisational environment, is highly regarded.
- Strong practical understanding of information and records management principles, including information architecture, document classification, metadata, retention, access and permissions, security, governance and migration planning.
