Join our team as a Quality Assurance Officer and play a key role in maintaining the highest standards across our production site. This opportunity is being offered as a maximum-term contract of up to two years, commencing as a full-time position for the first six months, with the possibility of extension and/or transition to a part-time arrangement based on business requirements. This is an excellent prospect to build your capability in food safety, auditing, compliance, and continuous improvement within a quick-paced manufacturing environment.
What You'll Be Doing
As our Quality Assurance Officer, you will:
- Conduct product, water, environmental, and hygiene testing activities.
- Monitor and verify Critical Control Points (CCPs) and food safety requirements.
- Carry out factory inspections, GMP checks, and internal audits.
- Monitor hygiene, traceability, packaging, labelling, and cold chain compliance.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and calibration records.
- Investigate non-conformances and support customer complaint reviews and corrective actions.
- Maintain HACCP documentation, quality records, and compliance reporting.
- Lead or support hygiene meetings and quality improvement initiatives.
- Provide coaching, training, and guidance to Production teams on quality and food safety standards.
- Promote a robust culture of food safety, quality,
continuous improvement, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) across the site.
What You'll Bring
- Experience in Quality Assurance, food manufacturing, food processing, or a similar environment (preferred).
- Sound knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and food safety management systems.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Confidence conducting audits, inspections, testing, and compliance activities.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence and support operational teams.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
- A genuine commitment to food safety, quality, workplace safety, and continuous improvement.
