About the Role
We are currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor/Contracts Administrator to join our team. This is a new role created to support our ongoing and growing projects. The successful candidate will be partnering with project owners across the group to ensure contract compliance, assist in submissions for monthly progress claims, and maintain budget control.
Key Duties:
- Contract Management: Provide guidance on contractual terms to ensure the group is meeting obligations as agreed.
- Progress Claims: Assist project owners in submitting monthly progress claims,
ensuring compliance under the contract and Security of Payment Act.
- Budget Control: Track project costs and revenue, assist in re-forecasting against the project budget.
- Site Diaries: Review project site diaries to identify opportunities for securing contractual entitlements.
- Notice Collation: Assist in the collation of delay notices, variation notices, and general notices.
- Revenue Generation: Capitalize on additional revenue opportunities to offset project costs.
- Subcontractor Management: Manage subcontractor claims and support project owners in subcontractor assessments.
- Gap Analysis: Perform gap analysis on scope of works and assist in executing strategies for dispute resolution set by the commercial manager.
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or other relevant discipline.
- 5 years in a similar role, ideally in the civil construction industry.
- Strong commercial negotiation experience with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
