Love understanding what makes people tick and turning data into stories that help businesses make better decisions?
This is a brilliant opportunity for an early-career quantitative researcher to join one of Australia’s leading independent strategic insights consultancies.
Working with some of Australia’s best-known brands, you’ll be exposed to a broad mix of projects across brand, innovation, customer experience and communications, while developing the research and consulting skills to turn evidence into meaningful commercial advice.
You’ll join a highly experienced, supportive team where learning is taken seriously, curiosity is encouraged and you’ll have plenty of opportunity to get involved in both the analytical and client-facing sides of research.
The Role
Working closely with senior consultants, you’ll contribute across the full research process, including:
- Supporting questionnaire design, research setup and reporting across tracking and ad hoc projects.
- Managing fieldwork, sampling, quotas and other day-to-day project requirements.
- Analysing quantitative data and identifying the patterns, stories and implications that matter.
- Turning findings into clear, engaging presentations and recommendations.
- Working directly with clients and gradually taking on more responsibility as your confidence grows.
- Coordinating projects across internal teams, clients and research partners.
- Using a mix of research, secondary data and emerging AI-enabled tools to answer client business questions.
- Learning from specialists across strategy, qualitative research and advanced analytics.
Your Background
You’ll likely have around 1-3 years’ experience within a market research agency, insights consultancy or similar environment and be ready to build on the foundations you’ve already developed.
You’ll bring
- Some hands-on experience delivering quantitative research projects.
- An understanding of core research methodologies such as brand tracking, NPS, concept testing or similar.
- Solid analytical skills and genuine curiosity about what sits behind the numbers.
- The ability to communicate findings clearly and tell an engaging story with data.
- Good organisation and project coordination skills.
- Confidence working with others and an interest in developing your client-facing skills.
- A curious, proactive mindset and a willingness to keep learning.
- Experience with Q or similar analysis software would be useful, but isn’t essential.
Why Apply?
This is an environment designed for people who want to become really good researchers and consultants.
You’ll benefit from structured learning, regular coaching and close access to experienced senior people, while being given increasing responsibility as your skills develop.
There’s also genuine flexibility around how and where you work, alongside a collaborative culture where people are encouraged to contribute ideas, challenge thinking and keep developing.
You’ll also be joining a purpose-led business with a strong focus on its people, community and broader impact.
If you’re looking for a role where you can strengthen your quantitative research foundations, become more confident with clients and build towards a career in strategic insights consulting, we’d love to hear from you.
