Referral Partnerships Coordinator

Newcastle | Full time We are a lot of things, but ‘normal’ isn’t one of them.

4u Care is an NDIS-registered disability support provider in Newcastle, on Awabakal Country. We radically improve the lives of people living with disability through enjoyable and enriching experiences. For us… nothing is impossible.

We’re looking for someone who’d rather be out in the community than waiting at a desk for the phone to ring.

About the role

This is an outward-facing sales role. You’ll be on the road most days across Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and the wider Hunter, building the relationships that bring participants to our Accommodation and Community services. Working under our Business Development Manager, you’ll put our referral network strategy into action: initiate contact, keep relationships warm and generate well-matched referral opportunities. The Business Development Manager handles quoting.

Selling here means being practical before we’re needed- a referrer recommends us because they trust what happens next.

What you’ll do

- Meet agreed daily outbound contact targets through calls, visits, emails and drop-ins.
- Build relationships with support coordinators, plan managers, local area coordinators, allied health teams, general practices, schools, community organisations and families.
- Visit hospitals and health services regularly, including discharge planners and social work teams.
- Qualify referral opportunities, respect participant choice and be honest when we’re not the right provider.
- Coordinate and attend expos and community events, deliver presentations, share useful updates and follow up every contact.

A business card in a drawer is not a relationship.
- Keep the CRM current, with activity entered on the day, and report weekly on contacts, meetings, events and opportunities.

What you’ll bring

- Experience in sales, business development, client engagement or community engagement with clear activity targets.
- A track record of initiating contact and turning conversations into ongoing relationships.
- A working understanding of the NDIS, explained in plain English.
- Confidence presenting to groups and keeping accurate CRM records.
- Self-direction, respectful, people-first communication and resilience. A “no” isn’t personal.

Experience in disability, aged care, health or community services, and familiarity with the Hunter, are highly regarded. Relevant qualifications are welcome but not essential- your track record matters most.

What we offer

Great people do their best work when they’re supported. Our benefits include:

- Fuel card or vehicle allowance
- Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
- Paid parental leave
- Discounted gym membership
- Novated leasing
- Professional development opportunities
- Birthday and milestone leave

You’ll need

Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, paid Working with Children Check, First Aid Certificate, and a valid driver’s licence with a comprehensively insured vehicle.

Apply

Apply through SEEK with your resume and a short cover letter telling us how you’ve built relationships, worked towards targets and turned conversations into opportunities. Want to find out more?
