PeakLife is a new physician-led preventative health clinic in West Perth providing comprehensive preventative health assessment. We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team on a adaptable contract basis.
The role will primarily involve DEXA scanning and clinical assessment support
About the Role
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing basic clinical observations and measurements
- Performing ECGs
- Performing DEXA body composition and bone density assessments
- Preparing and positioning patients for DEXA scanning
- Operating equipment according to clinical and radiation safety protocols
- Supporting patient assessment and clinic workflow
- Maintaining accurate clinical documentation
- Liaising with doctors and other members of the PeakLife clinical team
- Maintaining a professional and high-quality patient experience
About You
Essential
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Strong patient-facing and communication skills
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work independently within established clinical protocols
- Professional and reliable approach to patient care
Highly Desirable
- Previous experience performing DEXA scans
- Relevant WA radiation licence or authorisation for DEXA operation if available
- Experience in bone densitometry or body composition assessment
- Phlebotomy experience
- Experience in outpatient, preventative health or private medical practice
Previous DEXA experience is preferred but not essential. Training and support with the appropriate DEXA competency and licensing pathway can be provided to the right candidate.
Engagement
This is a part time position with potential to become a full time position The successful candidate may provide services through their own business and ABN under an appropriate contractor arrangement if they wish There is potential for increasing hours as the clinic grows.
