Robina Private Hospital is a 90 bed private hospital with three specialist mental health and rehabilitation wards along with consultancy, outpatient, mental health and day rehabilitation programs and day surgery services.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable Registered Nurse to join our Day Surgery Unit in a part time capacity (12-16 hours per week), with opportunities for additional hours as departmental needs arise.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a small, supportive, and highly collaborative team that plays a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care. Our Day Surgery Unit is a busy and dynamic environment where flexibility, teamwork, and a positive attitude are essential.
Ideally, you will have experience in:
- Endoscopy nursing
- Scrub/Scout nursing
- Admissions
- Discharge Lounge

Duties and responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Deliver evidence based nursing care
- Liaise with a multi-disciplinary team
- Ensure patient and staff safety
- Supervise and direct and guide nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs), and Student Nurses
- Responding to unexpected outcomes and use problem solving skills to respond to emergencies
- Complying with all legislative requirements in the work place
- Must be able to work across endoscopy and scrub scout (with the ability to work across admissions and discharge lounge when necessary)
- Must be flexible with shifts across AM/PM – Monday to Friday and be responsive to short notice changes
Essential criteria
- Current AHPRA Registration
- Minimum 5 years experience in theatre or day surgery environment
- Current Advance Life Support Certification or be willing to undertake
- Knowledge of NSQHS Standards
- Self motivated and proven ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Demonstrated Clinical knowledge and experience in the implementation of patient centred, high quality clinical care
Everyone who joins Robina Private Hospital:
- Is required to provide proof of immunisation against infectious diseases
- Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 3 months of commencement date
