The Operations Supervisor (Parafield) is accountable to the EGM Parafield and is responsible for the performance and supervision of airport operations (field and operational aspects) to meet regulatory requirements and delivery of maintenance activities.The Operations Supervisor (Parafield) is accountable to the EGM Parafield and is responsible for the performance and supervision of airport operations (field and operational aspects) to meet regulatory requirements and delivery of maintenance activities.
- Manage daily activities and task scheduling of Parafield Operations Officers;
- Develop and manage operational budgets including raising purchase orders to support maintenance and operational activities while ensuring compliance with procurement procedures and budget requirements
- Complete capital expenditure applications for required operational capital expenditure including replacement of plant and equipment
- Schedule, coordinate and provide on site support and supervision of contractors;
- Provide regular updates to the EGM Parafield on airfield serviceability and major maintenance issues as required, escalating any points of operational impact in a timely fashion;
- Process crane applications and management of any ad hoc airspace issues that may impact day to day operations;
- Provide first line leadership support to Parafield Operations Officers;
- To provide the requisite support to ensure facilities are maintained in accordance with AAL and PAL procedures, regulatory requirements, Company policies and agreed budget;
- To support the Airside Manager in timely remediation of any identified non-compliances;
- Liaise with customers, tenants and internally to coordinate and organise maintenance activities;
- Be available for unscheduled reactive maintenance;
- Fulfil the duties of Aerodrome Reporting Officer when required;
- Contribute to Airport Emergency response;
- Work closely with the Parafield Property Asset Manager and Customer and Administration Coordinator in respect of coordination of landside maintenance works and procurement
- Understand, work within and contribute to the development of Company policies and procedures;
- Other duties as reasonably directed;

Essential
- First Line Management skills to Diploma level;
- State Drivers Licence;
- Authority to drive Airside;
- Radio Operations Certificate of Proficiency;
- Training and/or qualifications relating to emergency management and safety/security;
- Firearms licence.
Desirable
- SA Security officers Licence Certificate 3;
- Completion of an Aerodrome Safety Inspectors Course;
- Advanced Management;
- Truck licence.
Experience
Essential
- Experience in the application of a range of functions in a regulated environment;
- Experience in a range of emergency, security and safety disciplines;
- Hands on experience of maintenance activities;
- Experience in the supervision of staff and contractors;
- Ability to write technical reports and operating procedures.
