Our client, a growing Australian-owned manufacturer, is looking for an experienced Fitter & Turner / Machinist to join their production team on a permanent, full-time basis. A varied, hands-on role for someone with initiative who's happy switching between tasks.

The role:
- Operating manual milling and lathe machines
- Machining components to spec from engineering drawings
- Modifying and maintaining machine components, tooling and parts
- Fitting and mechanical assembly
- Fault finding, troubleshooting and repairing machines
- Valve changing, fixing and cleaning
- General equipment upkeep (e.g. changing sanding paper)
- Following WHS procedures
Hours:
- Mon–Thu: 6:00am–2:30pm
- Fri: 6:00am–12:00pm
About you:
- Fitter & Turner / Mechanical Fitter trade qualification (or equivalent)
- Machining experience, able to read engineering drawings
- All-rounder mindset – picks up varied tasks without being asked twice
- Robust mechanical aptitude, attention to detail and WHS awareness
- Comfortable working independently and in a team
