Payroll Officer | Brisbane | $44.18/hr + Super | 3-Month Contract

Alchemy Recruitment is partnering with a government-owned utility client to support them in recruiting for two Payroll Officers to join their Finance team on a temporary basis.

About the Role

- 3-month contract with extension potential
- $44.18/hr + super
- Based in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane
- Full time, Monday to Friday, 38 hours/week
- Immediate start

What You’ll Be Doing

- Processing and validating payroll data for a workforce of 1,200+ employees
- Preparing payroll for bank submission and completing reconciliations
- Applying Award, legislative and internal policy requirements
- Supporting payroll system users and resolving system issues
- Handling and resolving employee payroll queries

Preferred Requirements





- 1-3+ years’ hands-on payroll processing experience
- Confident working with Awards, legislation and enterprise agreements
- Experience with payroll systems (processing, troubleshooting, or system support)
- Ability to work autonomously in a quick-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

- Year 12 or Certificate level education (minimum)
- Payroll or accounting-related qualifications highly regarded but not essential
