Project Officer | ICT Transformation Program

Sharp & Carter is partnering with a Queensland Government department to recruit an experienced Project Officer to support a major technology transformation program. This opportunity sits within a newly established portfolio delivery function responsible for the governance, assurance and successful delivery of multiple business-led, technology-enabled projects.

Working closely with Project Managers, Program Leaders and key stakeholders, you'll play a critical role in supporting project governance, coordinating stakeholder engagement activities and ensuring project administration functions run effectively.

A big part of this role is the recruitment and onboarding of staff, so previous experience doing this within Queensland Government is derirable!!!

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate project governance activities, including agendas, papers, minutes and committee support.
- Facilitate workshops and stakeholder meetings across diverse business groups.
- Support project assurance and reporting activities.
- Maintain project documentation, registers, action logs and decision trackers.




- Provide project administration and coordination support across multiple initiatives.
- Manage shared mailboxes, calendars and project communications.
- Assist with recruitment and resource coordination activities.

About You You will be an organised and proactive Project Officer with experience supporting large-scale projects, preferably within government or complex enterprise environments.
You will bring:

- Previous experience in a Project Officer, Project Coordinator or PMO support role.
- Strong governance and secretariat experience.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Experience coordinating workshops and managing competing priorities.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills across Word, Excel and SharePoint.
- The ability to work autonomously while managing multiple deliverables.
