About the role

This is an exciting job which is based on your communications skills. It is not a traditional office role. You'll be out in workplaces, talking to workers, delivering inductions, recruiting new members, building delegate structures, supporting bargaining campaigns and helping workers take collective action to improve their lives.

About us

We are a union building power for health workers in WA. We organise workers to improve wages, conditions, job security and safety at work. Health is not just made up of doctors and nurses. There is a huge workforce of allied health professionals, technical and administrative staff as well, and that's our membership. We're looking for enthusiastic, friendly and values-driven people to be part of our team. We are focused on the goal of growing our union - by organising workplaces, developing delegates and building the collective power of health workers.

Key responsibilities

- Organising workplaces and developing delegates

- Building the collective power of health workers

- Talking to workers and delivering inductions





- Recruiting current members and building delegate structures

- Supporting bargaining campaigns and helping workers take collective action

About you

- A commitment to social justice and a fairer society

- A highly effective communicator and listener - good conversation skills

- Able to problem solve and self reflect

- Able to build and maintain good relationships with people

- Be well organised and hold a strong work ethic

- Experience in organising or health will be well regarded

You will also need:

- A valid driver's licence

- Ability to hold Right of Entry permits (state and federal)
