MARS Recruitment is partnering with a global financial services organisation to recruit a Financial Reporting Manager to join its ANZ Finance team in Sydney.

This is a broad and technically focused role supporting financial reporting, controls, audit, governance and broader finance operations across the Australian and New Zealand business. Reporting into the Head of Finance, the position also manages two direct reports and plays a key role in strengthening the business' internal control environment and reporting processes.

The role would suit someone with a strong audit and technical accounting background who enjoys operating in a hands-on environment and driving process and control improvements across a complex business.

The Responsibilities

- Support month-end, quarterly and annual financial reporting processes
- Complete internal controls and risk framework testing
- Drive remediation of control findings and process improvements
- Review reconciliations and complete complex balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare annual financial statements and support year-end audit
- Coordinate quarterly corporate disclosures and reporting requirements
- Analyse financial results, trends and reporting variances




- Ensure financial reporting aligns to general ledger and reporting systems
- Support implementation of accounting standard and regulatory reporting updates
- Manage and mentor two accountants within the finance team
- Support broader finance transformation and reporting initiatives

The Requirements

- CA qualified with strong technical accounting capability
- Audit background highly regarded
- Experience across controls, governance and financial reporting
- Strong systems capability, including advanced Excel skills
- Exposure to Hyperion, Excellent Plains, Power BI or similar reporting systems advantageous
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Financial services, banking or leasing industry experience highly regarded
