Sino Iron Shutdown – October 2026

PPS Servicing has proven experience delivering maintenance, construction, engineering, fabrication and installation services across the mining and heavy industry sectors.

We are currently gearing up for an upcoming 2-week shutdown at Sino Iron, Cape Preston, and are seeking experienced, safety-focused personnel to join our team.

Positions Available

- Mechanical Supervisors – Day & Night Shift

- Boilermakers

- Mechanical Fitters

- Trade Assistants

Shutdown Dates: 5 October – 19 October 2026
Location: Sino Iron, Cape Preston
Day & Night Shift Positions Available

There may also be opportunities for long-term, full-time employment following the shutdown for suitable candidates.

About You

To be considered, you will have:

- Demonstrated experience within the mining, resources or heavy industry sector

- A strong commitment to safety and safe work practices

- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

- Experience working on fixed plant equipment – highly desirable

- Ability to work safely in extreme temperatures (50+ degrees)

Mandatory Tickets & Qualifications





- MSIC – candidates holding a current MSIC will be prioritised

- Valid Australian trade qualification relevant to the position – Boilermakers & Mechanical Fitters

- Working Safely at Heights / Confined Spaces / White Card / EWP + 11m

- Current WA Driver’s Licence

- Schedule 26 – Mechanical Supervisors only

**All successful candidates will need to complete a pre-employment medical assessment, drug & alcohol screening and a respiratory mask fit for the use of a P2 respirator on site. Please note this role requires you to be clean shaven.
