About the Role

We currently have an opportunity for a full-time Administration and Accounts Assistant to join the team at our Garbutt office.

This is the sole administration position within the branch, so we’re looking for someone who is confident, reliable and comfortable working independently. While it won’t happen often, there may be occasions when other team members are working away and you could be the only person based in the branch for up to a week at a time.

You’ll play an important role in keeping the branch organised and running smoothly, while working closely with our administration team and managers across our other Queensland branches.

Pay Rate

$30 – $34 per hour plus superannuation, depending on experience.

Working Hours

Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 4:00pm
Friday: 7:30am – 4:00pm

How You'll Fit Into the Team

This role plays an important part in keeping our daily operations running smoothly. You will work closely with the Branch Manager, administration, accounts and workshop teams to support the day-to-day operation of the branch.

The position suits someone who enjoys being organised,



helping others and taking pride in keeping systems, records and processes running effectively.

Responsibilities of the Role

Your duties will include:

- Answering incoming calls and responding to client and supplier emails

- Creating jobs and assisting with internal quotes and works

- Assisting with ordering stock and materials for jobs

- Organising freight and deliveries and accepting incoming goods

- Supporting the accounts team with invoicing and general accounts tasks

- Data entry and maintaining accurate records

- Using MYOB and Simpro software systems

- Liaising with technicians and assisting with their daily operational needs

- Providing general administration support across the branch

- Assisting with additional administration or accounts tasks as required

Previous experience with MYOB and Simpro is preferred but not essential.

About You

You will need excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of professionalism.

Experience in a trades or service-based environment will be highly regarded, along with a basic understanding of accounts processes and the ability to work with information across multiple systems.
