About the role

Queens Head Inn is seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Bar Attendant to join our dynamic hospitality team. This is a full time position based in Perth, Tasmania. As a Bar Attendant, you will be at the heart of our venue, delivering exceptional service and creating memorable experiences for our guests. You'll work in a quick-paced environment where your contribution directly impacts customer satisfaction and the overall success of our establishment.

What you'll be doing

- Preparing and serving a variety of beverages, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, with proficiency and flair

- Taking customer orders efficiently and accurately, ensuring orders are fulfilled promptly

- Maintaining a clean and well-organised bar area, including regular restocking of bottles, glasses and supplies

- Operating the till system and processing payments accurately, handling cash and card transactions

- Checking identification to comply with responsible service of alcohol requirements and legal obligations

- Providing knowledgeable recommendations about available drinks and menu options

- Engaging with customers in a friendly and professional manner, creating a welcoming atmosphere

- Assisting with general venue maintenance, including cleaning and tidying during and after service

- Collaborating with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods

- Following all health, safety and hygiene standards consistently

What we're looking for

- Previous experience working in a bar, pub or hospitality setting is highly desirable

- Strong knowledge of beverage types, including beers, wines, spirits and cocktails

- Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification or willingness to obtain it

- Excellent customer service skills with a genuine passion for hospitality

- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced,



high-pressure setting

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Cash handling experience and familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems

- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items

- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required

- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and organisation

- Team player attitude with a positive and professional demeanour
