About the role

J Medical Aesthetics Melbourne is seeking an experienced and passionate Dermal Clinician or Cosmetic Nurse to join our growing team at our Toorak clinic.

In this client-facing clinical role, you will deliver personalised, evidence-based aesthetic and skin treatments while maintaining the highest standards of safety, professionalism and client care. You will work closely with our clinical team to develop tailored treatment plans and support clients throughout their treatment journey.

For nursing applicants, previous training and experience in cosmetic injectable treatments will be highly regarded. Ongoing training, mentoring and professional development opportunities will be available to support the right candidate’s continued clinical growth.

What you’ll be doing

- Conducting comprehensive client consultations and skin assessments

- Developing personalised treatment plans based on each client’s concerns, goals and clinical suitability

- Performing advanced skin, laser, light-based and energy-based treatments within your qualifications and scope of practice

- For appropriately qualified and authorised nurses, providing cosmetic injectable treatments in accordance with professional, regulatory and prescribing requirements

- Educating clients about suitable treatments, skincare, expected outcomes and aftercare

- Monitoring treatment progress and adjusting treatment plans where clinically appropriate

- Maintaining accurate, detailed and compliant clinical documentation

- Following strict infection-control, hygiene, safety and privacy procedures

- Recognising contraindications, managing risks and escalating clinical concerns appropriately

- Providing professional follow-up care and building long-term client relationships

- Recommending suitable treatment programs and skincare products based on client needs





- Contributing to team training, clinical protocols and the ongoing development of the clinic

- Assisting with professional and educational social media content where required

What we’re looking for

- A recognised qualification in Dermal Science, Dermal Therapy, Nursing or a closely related field

- Current AHPRA registration for nursing applicants

- A minimum of two years’ relevant experience in the medical aesthetics, cosmetic or dermal industry

- Previous cosmetic injectable training and hands-on experience is preferred for nursing applicants

- Appropriate laser safety qualifications and relevant treatment certifications

- Strong knowledge of skin anatomy, skin conditions, treatment indications and contraindications

- Demonstrated experience with advanced skin, laser, light-based or energy-based treatments

- A strong understanding of infection control, clinical documentation and client safety

- Excellent consultation, communication and interpersonal skills

- The ability to educate clients clearly and develop appropriate treatment plans

- Strong attention to detail and sound clinical judgement

- A professional appearance and calm, confident manner

- The ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively

- A genuine commitment to ethical practice, continued education and evidence-based care

- Availability to work a adaptable roster, including Saturdays

Highly regarded

- Established experience performing cosmetic injectable treatments

- Experience working in a medical aesthetics, cosmetic or dermatology clinic





- Experience with a broad range of laser and energy-based technologies

- Additional qualifications in cosmetic nursing, dermal therapies or skin science

- Experience with clinical photography, treatment planning and client progress reviews

- Confidence creating professional educational content for social media

- Fluency in both English and Mandarin Chinese

- An established client following or a proven record of building and retaining a client base
