The Opportunity

This is not a desk-bound compliance role.

We're looking for a WHS professional who enjoys being visible in the business, building relationships, understanding how work is really performed, and influencing positive change.

Reporting to the People, Culture & Safety Manager, you'll work closely with leaders, supervisors and employees across the organisation to improve safety performance, strengthen governance, ensure compliance, and drive continuous improvement.

Success in this role will come from your ability to balance strong technical knowledge with a practical, people-focused approach.

What You'll Be Doing

- Partner with leaders and teams to strengthen a proactive and accountable safety culture.

- Build strong relationships across all levels of the business, from apprentices and tradespeople through to senior leaders.

- Review, maintain and continuously improve WHS systems, processes and governance frameworks.

- Identify opportunities to enhance compliance, simplify processes and improve operational effectiveness.

- Conduct workplace inspections, audits, risk assessments and safety observations.

- Lead investigations into incidents, hazards and near misses, driving effective corrective actions.

- Analyse WHS performance data and identify trends and improvement opportunities.

- Deliver engaging inductions, toolbox talks, training and safety communications.





- Coordinate return-to-work and injury management activities.

- Support environmental compliance and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

You're a confident and practical WHS professional who enjoys working with people and challenging the status quo in a constructive way.

You're naturally curious, think critically, and can see both the bigger picture and the detail. You enjoy understanding how systems operate, identifying gaps, and implementing improvements that are practical, compliant and sustainable.

You'll bring:

- Qualifications in Workplace Health & Safety or a related discipline.

- Minimum 5 years' experience in a WHS Advisor, Coordinator or similar role.

- Experience within manufacturing, engineering, transport, construction or another operational environment.

- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, compliance obligations and contemporary safety practices.

- Demonstrated experience reviewing and improving WHS systems, governance and compliance frameworks.

- Experience conducting investigations, audits, risk assessments and safety training.

- Return-to-Work and injury management experience.

- Strong communication, influencing and stakeholder engagement skills.

- A proactive, collaborative and solutions-focused approach.

Experience with ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 management systems will be highly regarded.
