Love golf and enjoy working with people? Kareela Golf Club is looking for a Pro Shop Assistant to join our small, tight-knit team on the front line of the club. You'll be the first face members and visitors see, running the counter, managing the tee sheet, and keeping the shop running smoothly on busy competition days.

This isn't a sit-behind-a-desk job. You'll be on your feet, solving problems, and part of a crew that takes pride in doing things properly.

About the Role

- Casual/part-time position with regular shifts across the week and weekend

- Opening and closing shifts available, so flexibility matters

- Based at Kareela Golf Club, working alongside a small, experienced pro shop team

- Fast-paced on competition days (Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday), steady during quieter periods

- We're after someone who can commit through our busy summer season, so this role won't suit anyone with extended holiday plans over that period.

Key Responsibilities
- Greet members and visitors, manage bookings, and run the tee sheet using our POS system

- Handle retail sales, EFTPOS and cash transactions, and keep the shop and displays presentable

- Support competition days, including entries, scoring queries, and general event flow

- Manage hire equipment and buggies,



including handover and end-of-shift checks

- Keep the pro shop and surrounding areas clean, stocked, and ready for the next shift

Skills & Experience
- Weekend availability is essential

- Comfortable handling cash, card payments, and point-of-sale systems (golf industry systems a plus, but not required)

- Strong communication skills and a genuine interest in providing good customer service

- Reliable, presentable, and able to work independently once shown the ropes

- Golf knowledge or experience is a bonus but not essential; the right attitude matters more
