Lead a Brand-New Quarry Operation Delivering a Significant Infrastructure Project
This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of a greenfield quarry operation from the ground up and leave a lasting legacy.
Our client is one of Australia’s largest and most respected construction materials and infrastructure businesses, with a long-standing reputation for safety, operational excellence and project delivery. They are establishing a new quarry operation near Geraldton to support a noted infrastructure project and are seeking an experienced Quarry Manager to lead the operation through to completion in June 2028.

THE PROJECT
Located approximately 20 minutes from Geraldton, this quarry will produce granite material for an offshore infrastructure project.
The operation combines traditional quarry leadership with strict project delivery requirements, quality assurance protocols and biosecurity controls. You will work closely with customers, contractors, regulators, traditional owners, technical specialists and local stakeholders to ensure safe and reliable delivery throughout the life of the project.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As Quarry Manager,
you will be the operational leader of the site and take responsibility for:
- Safety leadership and statutory compliance
- Production, drill and blast, crushing and load-out activities
- Financial performance and P&L; management
- Quarry development and rehabilitation planning
- Contractor and workforce management
- Stakeholder and customer engagement
- Quality, environmental and biosecurity compliance
- Delivery of production targets and project milestones
ABOUT YOU
You will likely bring:
- Current Quarry Manager qualification (required) and SSE qualification or ability to get one
- Extractive industry or quarry management experience
- Strong drill and blast knowledge
- Experience managing production, safety and operational performance
- The ability to lead teams in lean operational environments
- Commercial acumen and confidence managing budgets and site performance
- Robust stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- A practical, solutions-focused leadership style
