About the role:
As the Specialist – Customer & Stakeholder, you will be responsible for engaging with customers, stakeholders and industry partners to build and maintain strategic relationships to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes and an enhanced customer experience.
You will proactively build and maintain relationships with senior leaders internally and externally and support many areas of the business to engage with key customers, including operations, planning and project delivery teams.

What you can expect with this role
Reporting to the Manager – Customer & Stakeholder, you will be responsible for:
- Proactively managing a portfolio of key customers and stakeholders in the Perth metropolitan area.
- Establish and maintain co-operating working relationships, at a senior level, within key customer organisations.
- Understand your customer’s operations, growth and development plans. Share this intelligence internally and identify common goals and opportunities to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Collaborate in joint planning or stakeholder meetings, coordinate communication and engagement strategies.
- Manage key customer issues or concerns, identify potential challenges and work with the business achieve a resolution.
- Help negotiate and manage agreements, service level expectations, or Memorandums of Understanding (MOU’s) as required.
- Participate in the development, implementation and ongoing review of customer-focused strategic and tactical initiatives.
Your skills and experience
- Degree level qualification in commerce, engineering, business communications or other related discipline.
- Substantial experience in complex customer/stakeholder issues management, within a large multi-disciplined organisation.
- Strong relationship management skills, including negotiation, influence and conflict resolution.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal); ability to translate technical issues into language that is easily understood.
- Experience in stakeholder/community engagement.
- Ability to think strategically and work across multiple disciplines (engineering, operations, planning, project management etc.).
- Demonstrated high level of conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills
