LOCALLY MANUFACTURED. DESIGNED TO SCALE.
ModnPods was born in 2015 from a clear vision: to think differently about how we design and deliver housing in Australia. In the face of rising land values, increasing labour costs, and mounting pressure on traditional construction methods, we saw an opportunity — and a responsibility — to create smarter, faster, and more sustainable solutions.
As we continue to grow, we're looking for Project Manager to join our team at our Gold Coast manufacturing facility.
About the role
As a Project Manager, you'll play a critical role in being the interface for end-to-end delivery of our modular projects, from design and procurement through to manufacturing and installation.
Acting as the key interface between our design, sales, production, procurement, and site teams you will coordinate projects to ensure customer requirements are clearly understood, materials and supplies are correctly procured and available when required, manufacturing deadlines are achieved, and completed pods are delivered to site in line with installation dates. The role is highly logistical and requires strong planning, organisation, coordination and execution. The Project Manager proactively identifies and resolves issues before they impact production or site delivery, ensuring nothing is missed that could result in manufacturing delays, rework, incomplete pods or the need for return visits to site.
With the stability of continuous work in one location, Monday to Friday, you will contribute to a diverse range of modular projects across Australia. Our products range from low and mid-rise dwellings, staff accommodation, build-to-rent projects, tourism and leisure parks, motels, hotels and aged care developments. We offer all this in a clean, organised, newly built manufacturing environment while working alongside an experienced, down-to-earth team. This is an opportunity to be part of a growing Australian business where you can build your skills, contribute to a team-oriented team culture and see the results of your work come together.
Day to Day
- Develop and maintain project programs, coordinating design, procurement of supplies, manufacturing, delivery and installation milestones
- Work closely with Production to plan manufacturing requirements, priorities and completion dates
- Coordinate materials, suppliers and project requirements to ensure the manufacturing team has what they need, when they need it
- Monitor project progress against program, identify potential delays and take action early to keep projects on track
- Ensure ITPs are carried out prior to the packaging and supply of the product, supporting a no return to sites approach
- Coordinate with Site Supervisors and transportation companies to ensure completed modules are ready for delivery and installation when required
- Manage project information, schedules and reporting, keeping key stakeholders informed of progress, risks and upcoming requirements
About you
- Previous experience as a Project Manager, Project Coordinator, Site Supervisor or similar role within construction, manufacturing or a related industry/role – you might even be ready to get off the tools and bring your productivity and planning expertise to the delivery of this role
- Strong planning and scheduling skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, competing priorities and tight delivery timeframes
- Practical understanding of construction, manufacturing or assembly processes, with the ability to understand how work flows from planning through to completion
- Proactive and commercially aware, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take ownership and drive outcomes/deadlines
- Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively across production, design, procurement, logistics and site teams, acting with urgency to create desired outcomes
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with experience using project scheduling or management systems desirable
Why join ModnPods
As part of the broader McNab Group, you'll have the opportunity to join a diverse portfolio of businesses spanning construction, property development, manufacturing and building products, creating career pathways that extend well beyond a traditional construction company.
You'll be part of a business that genuinely invests in its people. We provide the support, opportunities and career pathways to help you grow, backed by a financially strong business where your contribution is valued and your success is shared.
