Join a globally recognised aerospace engineering business developing world-leading heavy-fuel UAV propulsion systems. We're seeking both a Graduate Calibration Engineer and a Senior Calibration Engineer to support the calibration, optimisation and validation of advanced engine platforms.

Description
- Coordinate and undertake engine calibration and testing activities across development programs.
- Conduct combustion analysis using high-speed data acquisition systems and engine dynamometer testing.
- Optimise engine performance, drivability, starting and transient response under a range of operating conditions.
- Support ECU software, diagnostics and control system development in collaboration with Controls Engineers.
- Analyse engine, test cell and flight log data to identify calibration improvements and performance enhancements.
- Manage calibration datasets, documentation and change control activities.
- Support project delivery, technical reviews and customer requirements across the product lifecycle.
- Senior Engineers will provide technical guidance, mentor junior team members and drive calibration process improvements.
Profile
The Successful Applicant
Graduate Calibration Engineer
- Degree qualified in Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace,
Mechatronics or related Engineering.
- Passionate about engines, combustion, controls or performance engineering.
- Keen to develop your skills in engine calibration, testing and data analysis.
- Comfortable working in a hands-on engineering and test environment.
- A strong problem solver with excellent communication skills.
- Proficient in MATLAB, Simulink, Python or similar engineering software (advantageous).
Senior Calibration Engineer
- Proven experience in engine calibration, combustion development or powertrain optimisation.
- Strong knowledge of ECU calibration strategies, engine controls and combustion systems.
- Experience using calibration tools such as INCA, CANape, ATI Vision or similar.
- Hands-on experience with engine dynamometer testing and performance analysis.
- The ability to mentor and support junior engineers and technicians.
- Experience developing calibration processes, methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives.
- A background in automotive, motorsport, aerospace, marine or off-highway engine development will be highly regarded.
