About the role

Done Right Electrical is seeking a Residential Sales Electrician to join our growing team in Smithfield, NSW. This is a full-time position that combines your technical electrical expertise with customer-facing sales responsibilities. As a Residential Sales Electrician, you will be the crucial link between our clients and our service delivery, providing expert advice on electrical solutions while building lasting business relationships. This role is essential to our growth strategy, enabling us to expand our residential customer base whilst maintaining our reputation for quality workmanship and exceptional service.

What you'll be doing

- Conducting site visits and assessments for residential electrical projects, providing accurate quotes and recommendations to prospective clients

- Identifying customer needs and presenting tailored electrical solutions that address their requirements and budget constraints

- Preparing detailed quotations and documentation for residential electrical work, including labour, materials and timelines

- Building and maintaining relationships with residential clients to encourage repeat business and referrals

- Following up with potential clients to close sales and schedule project commencement

- Collaborating with our installation teams to ensure customer expectations are clearly communicated and met

- Maintaining accurate records of all quotes, sales and client interactions using our management systems

- Ensuring all work complies with relevant Australian electrical standards and safety regulations

- Attending trade shows, community events and networking opportunities to promote Done Right Electrical services

What we're looking for





- Current Australian electrical licence and competency in residential electrical work

- Proven experience working as a residential electrician in the field

- Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards and safety regulations applicable to residential installations

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical concepts in terms clients understand

- Demonstrated sales ability or experience converting customer inquiries into completed projects

- Attention to detail and accuracy in preparing quotes and documentation

- Reliable transportation to client sites across the Smithfield area and surrounding regions

- Proficiency with computers and willingness to learn current business management software

- Ability to work independently whilst maintaining professional standards and company values

- Preferred: experience in solar installations, energy efficiency assessments or other emerging residential electrical technologies
