About the role
As an experienced Human Resources Manager, you will be a senior member of the company responsible for managing the human resource function of the business to support company successes.
The role will be based from our Gracemere, QLD office.

Your role will entail working proactively with the support of the company directors and operations team to;
- Develop, implement and regularly review human resource strategies, policies and workforce plans aligned with company operations, project requirements and long-term workforce needs.
- Manage recruitment, candidate selection, employment, on boarding and induction processes to ensure Bellequip has appropriately skilled and qualified personnel available to support its operations.
- Work with project managers and operational leaders to identify current and future workforce requirements, including staffing needs arising from new projects, project mobilisation and changes in operational requirements.
- Identify employee development and training needs across the company’s construction and corporate workforce, and coordinate professional development, skills development and succession planning initiatives to support workforce capability, compliance and retention.
- Establish and manage employee performance review and performance management processes, providing guidance to managers on employee performance, development, disciplinary matters and performance improvement.
- Manage employee relations and workplace negotiations, liaising with employees, management,
representatives and industry representatives regarding remuneration, employment conditions, workplace concerns and industrial relations matters.
- Develop and implement initiatives to support employee engagement, workplace culture, well being and retention, working with senior management and the WHS team to promote a safe, respectful and productive workplace across company operations.
- Oversee the maintenance of accurate employee records, employment documentation and HR information, and prepare workforce reports and HR analysis to assist senior management with workforce planning and business decision-making.

Skills and experience
- Qualifications in Human Resources, Employment Relations, Business or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of HR experience, with strong generalist HR exposure.
- Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation, the Fair Work Act, Modern Awards and workplace relations.
- Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential information professionally.
- Commercially minded with strong problem solving skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast paced, project driven workplace with a hands on approach.
- Previous experience working within the construction, building, engineering or related industry would be highly desirable.
- Able to complete a police check and full medical.
