About the role

As a Chef, you will play a vital role in supporting the Head Chef & Sous Chef in running kitchen operations, ensuring the preparation of high-quality dishes, and maintaining a smooth workflow. You will collaborate closely with the culinary team to execute innovative menus, handle daily kitchen activities, and ensure timely delivery of orders during service hours.

Key responsibilities

- Support the Head Chef & Sous Chef in coordinating daily kitchen operations and food preparation tasks

- Prepare and cook dishes under the guidance of senior chefs, ensuring quality, consistency, and adherence to restaurant standards

- Guide and train kitchen staff, ensuring productive workflow and high standards

- Ensure food quality, presentation, and consistency in line with restaurant standards

- Ensure compliance with hygiene, sanitation, and food safety regulations

- Manage inventory, order supplies, and monitor stock levels to avoid shortages

- Collaborate with the culinary team in creating new menus and seasonal specials

- Monitor and control food costs, waste, and portion sizes for maximum profitability

- Assist in managing service during peak hours by ensuring timely preparation and plating orders





- Maintain proper use of kitchen equipment, performing basic upkeep and promptly reporting any issues

About you

- Relevant AQF Diploma (or equivalent) or higher

- At least 1-2 years of relevant working experience

- Robust experience working under pressure

- Organizational skills and passion for culinary excellence
