In this role, you are a facilitator of change. You will work alongside our residents in a therapeutic community setting, guiding them through their day-to-day responsibilities while providing the essential support needed to sustain long-term recovery.
Key Responsibilities

- Observe residents during activities of daily living, facilitating ‘teachable moments’ during program-based tasks and shared responsibilities.
- Assist with medication supervision, conduct risk assessments, and maintain high-quality clinical documentation.
- Provide case management and assist with intake of recent clients.
- Lead or co-facilitate workshops on a range of interventions including the therapeutic community method, relapse prevention, and domestic violence awareness training.
- Provide immediate support and de-escalation for residents experiencing emotional or behavioural challenges.
- Observe Farm in Galong policies and procedures including all privacy and confidentiality requirements.
Selection Criteria
Essential:
1. Minimum Certificate IV in Alcohol and Other Drugs or Mental Health (or nearing completion).
2. Demonstrated experience working in a residential setting or a strong understanding of the Therapeutic Community (TC) model.
3. Ability to work from a trauma-informed, person-centred framework with an understanding of the complexities of addiction.
4. The emotional intelligence and physical stamina to work in a dynamic, rural residential environment.
5. Current valid Driver’s License and a cleared Working with Children Check (WWCC).
Why Join Our Team?
- Work in a beautiful regional environment where the landscape plays a vital role in the healing process.
