Maintenance Manager

Regents Garden Lake Joondalup | Residential Aged Care | Full-Time

Regents Garden Lake Joondalup is seeking an experienced and hands-on Maintenance Manager to join our leadership team and take responsibility for maintaining a safe, welcoming and well-presented environment for our residents, families and staff.

This is an important role within the facility. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, is highly organised, responsive and approachable, and understands that in aged care, good maintenance is about much more than fixing things — it contributes directly to the comfort, safety and quality of life of the people who call Regents Garden home.

Reporting to the Facility Manager and working closely with the Building Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day maintenance requirements of the facility, coordinate preventative maintenance, support maintenance and cleaning personnel, liaise with external contractors and ensure maintenance activities are completed and documented in a timely manner.

About the role

Your responsibilities will include:

- Coordinating and completing general building and facility maintenance

- Managing preventative maintenance schedules and ensuring required works are completed

- Undertaking practical repairs including minor plumbing, painting, equipment repairs, doors, windows, fittings and general facility upkeep

- Monitoring and maintaining resident equipment and other facility assets

- Coordinating external contractors and service providers where required

- Delegating appropriate maintenance and cleaning tasks to team members

- Monitoring completed work and promptly escalating any concerns

- Maintaining accurate maintenance records and schedules

- Supporting the safe storage and management of chemicals and SDS documentation

- Participating in workplace health and safety,



risk management and continuous improvement activities

- Supporting fire, safety and security requirements within the facility.

About you

We are looking for someone who is practical, dependable and capable of taking ownership of the maintenance function.

You will ideally have:

- A current trade licence

- Previous experience in a maintenance, facilities or similar role, preferably at least two years

- Broad practical knowledge of general maintenance and repairs

- Strong organisational and time-management skills

- The ability to prioritise competing tasks and follow through on outstanding work

- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with managers, staff, residents, families and contractors

- A proactive approach to preventative maintenance and workplace safety

- Pride in maintaining a high standard of presentation throughout the facility

- The ability to work independently while also contributing positively to the broader management team.

The successful applicant will also be required to meet applicable screening requirements, including a National Police Clearance and/or NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, together with relevant vaccination requirements.
