About the role

This is more than simply a driving role. Our bus drivers are an important part of the resident experience — helping residents enjoy trips to local attractions, cafés, parks, shopping areas and other community destinations while ensuring every journey is safe, comfortable and enjoyable. You will work closely with our Lifestyle and Wellness teams to transport residents on planned short excursions and support them throughout the journey.

Key responsibilities

- Safely driving the Regents Garden bus for scheduled resident outings and excursions

- Assisting residents to safely enter and exit the vehicle

- Ensuring residents are comfortable and appropriately secured during travel

- Completing required vehicle safety checks before and after journeys

- Maintaining the bus in a clean, safe and presentable condition





- Working closely with Lifestyle and Wellness staff to ensure outings run safely and smoothly

- Providing friendly, respectful and patient assistance to residents

- Promptly reporting any vehicle, safety or maintenance concerns

About you

- A minimum MR Driver's Licence

- A current PTD authorisation

- A current First Aid Certificate

- A safe and responsible driving record

- Valuable communication and interpersonal skills

- A patient, caring and respectful approach

- Previous experience working with older people or within aged care is highly regarded, but not essential
