Job Description

SGS has an exciting prospect for a full time Laboratory Supervisor, this is a FIFO position with a 2 weeks on 2 weeks off roster.

The Laboratory Supervisor will oversee all aspects of the laboratory, including the following key accountabilities, however not limited to:
Delegate tasks equitably among sample preparation and laboratory technicians on a daily basis.
Monitor laboratory productivity to ensure all samples progress efficiently and on schedule.
Track and report the laboratory's consumable stock levels weekly.
Notify the manager promptly when consumables need to be reordered.
Coordinate the return of samples and waste materials to clients, ensuring timely action and adherence to proper procedures.
Ensure all team members consistently follow Health and Safety procedures in all laboratory areas.
Support sample sorting, preparation, and reading processes as needed.
Maintain accurate and detailed records related to sample submission, preparation progress, and archiving.
Ensure all results are delivered to clients on time and in line with contractual agreements.
