Job Description
The Payroll Team Leader will be responsible for:
Lead, coach and develop a team of Payroll Officers
Oversee end-to-end payroll operations for a large and complex workforce
Act as the escalation point for complex payroll matters
Review and approve complex payroll calculations, including overpayments
Drive process improvement initiatives across the payroll function
Support payroll system enhancements, testing and transformation projects
Build robust relationships with key stakeholders across the business
The Successful Applicant
A successful Payroll Team Leader should have:
Proven experience training, supporting, and mentoring payroll teams in a high-volume environment
Strong end-to-end payroll knowledge and technical capability
Solid understanding of payroll legislation, compliance and reporting requirements
Experience interpreting Awards, EBAs and complex employment agreements
A hands-on leader who enjoys identifying opportunities for process improvement
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
