The opportunity

Looking to take the next step in your accounting career? As an Accountant at Accountancy Services Pty Ltd, you'll be responsible for providing critical support to our team of qualified accountants. Based in our Mount Isa, Queensland office, we have two full-time roles available that offer excellent career development opportunities in a cooperative, friendly setting with an immediate start.

Key responsibilities
Prepare financial statements and quarterly and annual Business Activity Statements reports
Complete annual audits and entity reviews (primarily not for profits, charities, trust accounts)
Analyse and provide advice regarding operating costs and business cash flow resulting from income/expenses
Prepare tax returns and other compliance work
Provide client assistance in setup, advice and maintenance of accounting software packages
Provide advice on business structures and assistance in setup
Assist with budgetary and accounting policies

What we're looking for
Completed a Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Minimum 3 years of experience in an accountant role, preferably in a professional services or Australian accounting environment
Excellent attention to detail and strong numeracy skills
Proficiency in using accounting software such as MYOB,



Xero or QuickBooks
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work well both in a team and independently, and contribute to a positive work culture
Applicant based in Australia

Salary of $79,423 - $85,000, with Mount Isa accommodation available
