About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accounts Payable Officer to join our finance team in the Chatswood office five days a week. This is a hands-on role reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, offering exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to contribute to process improvement and best-practice financial controls.
Key Responsibilities
• End-to-end management of the accounts payable function
• Processing high-volume supplier invoices accurately and on time
• Managing payment runs and supplier reconciliations
• Maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
• Reviewing and improving AP processes and controls
• Assisting with month-end close and reporting requirements
• Ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards
• Supporting audits and responding to AP-related queries
• Support month end reconciliations to statement balances
• Support stocktake reconciliations
• Problem solving skills
• Fleet management
About You
• Proven experience in a Senior Accounts Payable or similar role
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
• Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Confident communicator with a proactive and professional approach
• Experience working closely with senior finance leadership (CFO or Finance Manager)
• Accounting or finance qualifications
• Experience with accounting systems (Xero or similar ERP highly regarded)
