About the Role

Working within our logging operation, you will be a key multi-skilled operator and floater across the yard.

Your day-to-day duties will vary depending on operational requirements. You may be operating a Front-End Loader one moment, an LF Forklift the next, and assisting with other machinery, log handling or general yard duties as required.

This role suits someone who is adaptable, mechanically minded and confident operating different types of machinery.

Safety is a major priority in this role. You will be operating heavy machinery in a busy yard where drivers, workers and pedestrians may be moving around the site. Strong spatial and situational awareness, along with the ability to operate machinery safely around others, is essential.

Key Responsibilities
Operating Front-End Loaders to move and handle logs
Operating LF Forklifts throughout the yard
Operating different machinery as required
Assisting with log handling and movement
Assisting with loading and unloading activities
Preparing and packing export log containers
Moving between different areas of the yard to support operations
Conducting basic machinery checks
Identifying and reporting mechanical issues
Assisting with general yard and labouring duties
Maintaining a secure and tidy work environment




Following all site safety procedures and requirements

About You

We are looking for someone who is safety-focused, mechanically minded and confident operating heavy machinery in a busy yard workplace.
Previous loader operating experience – essential
Current LF Forklift Licence and proven ability to operate an LF Forklift – essential
Experience operating multiple types of machinery
Excavator experience is highly advantageous
Experience working with logs, timber, forestry, quarry, civil construction, transport or similar environments is advantageous
Robust spatial and situational awareness, particularly when operating machinery around pedestrians and other vehicles
Mechanically minded with a practical, hands-on approach
Confident moving between different machines and tasks
Adaptable and willing to assist wherever required
Strong safety awareness
Good communication and teamwork skills
Reliable, punctual and hardworking
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
Physically fit and capable of performing manual duties when required
Available to work 8–10 hour days, Monday to Friday
No weekend work
Paid overtime
