An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced and motivated Assistant Trainer to join the team at Shane Jackson Racing in Warrnambool. The role will involve assisting Shane with the day-to-day management of the Warrnambool stable and taking on a key leadership role within the growing stable.

Key responsibilities
Assisting Shane with the day-to-day management of the Warrnambool reliable
Overseeing staff and helping coordinate daily reliable operations
Managing horse treatments, medications and veterinary requirements
Monitoring horses and providing feedback on their health, soundness and progress
Assisting with planning work programs and communicating instructions to staff and riders
Attending jump-outs, trials and race meetings when required
Maintaining high standards of horse care,



presentation and stable organisation
Helping develop and support the team

About you
Strong racing industry experience
Confident handling and assessing thoroughbreds
Comfortable taking responsibility within a busy stable
Previous experience as an Assistant Trainer, Foreperson or in a senior stable position highly regarded
Reliable and organised
Positive communicator
Able to lead by example
Genuine care for horses
Enjoys being part of a team

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
