Chef / Cook – Korean Restaurant

Onyu Korean Table is a busy and growing Korean restaurant located in Wolli Creek, just 13–15 minutes from Sydney CBD.

We are currently looking for an experienced Chef / Cook to join our kitchen team. We are looking for someone who is reliable, organised and interested in becoming a long-term part of our team.

Position
Chef / Cook
Part-time / Full-time
Approximately 20–30 hours per week
Regular and reliable shifts available
Roster can be discussed depending on availability

Main Responsibilities
Food preparation and cooking during service
Managing your assigned section
Maintaining consistent portioning, plating and food quality
Keeping the kitchen clean and organised
Monitoring prep and stock levels
Working efficiently during busy service
Supporting and communicating well with the kitchen team

For experienced candidates, there is an prospect to grow into a senior or main chef position with more responsibility in kitchen operations, staff training and service management.

We are looking for someone who:
Has previous kitchen or chef experience
Can work efficiently in a busy workplace
Has good organisation and time-management skills
Takes responsibility for their work




Values teamwork and communication
Maintains valuable hygiene and kitchen standards
Is looking for stable, long-term employment

Experience with Korean cuisine, hot food or fryer sections is preferred, but not essential for the right candidate.
