Pastry Chef / Cake Decorator (3.5 month fixed term contract)

We’re looking for a talented and experienced Pastry Chef / Cake Decorator to join our busy, growing bakery team.

This is a 3.5 month full time fixed term contract, with the opportunity to progress into a full-time role. Working hours are 8am-4pm Monday to Friday. Additional overtime hours are available in peak periods.

About the Role

As a valued member of our team, you will be responsible for:
Decorating cupcakes to a consistently high standard with strong attention to detail
Preparing buttercream, icings, fillings, and cake batters
Creating celebration cakes using a range of buttercream decorating techniques
Maintaining a clean, organised, and food-protected decorating workspace
Assisting with front-of-house duties, including serving customers and providing exceptional customer service
Working collaboratively with the team to ensure products are completed efficiently while maintaining the highest quality standards

About You

We’re looking for someone who:




Has previous professional experience decorating cakes and cupcakes
Is confident working with buttercream and finishing cakes to a high standard
Has a creative eye and excellent attention to detail
Can work efficiently in a rapid-paced bakery without compromising quality
Is reliable, punctual and takes pride in their work
Communicates well and contributes positively to a team
Is comfortable working independently and managing their responsibilities
Enjoys interacting with customers and providing outstanding service
