Job description:

Couch Potato Restaurant is seeking skilled and dedicated Kitchen Hands and Cooks to join our energetic team. As a popular establishment known for our delectable comfort food, we are committed to providing our guests with exceptional dining experiences. If you are a motivated individual with a passion for cooking and a strong work ethic, we invite you to apply for this position. Approx 15 hrs per week.

Responsibilities:
Assist in food preparation, including chopping, peeling, and portioning ingredients
Working confidently on fryer, grill & pan sections
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment
Support the kitchen team by ensuring a smooth workflow during service
Follow food safety and hygiene standards to guarantee the highest level of cleanliness and sanitation
Collaborate with the chefs and other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient meal preparation
Contribute to maintaining inventory levels and alerting the kitchen manager of any shortages or issues
Assist in receiving and storing food deliveries

Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role in a quick-paced restaurant environment




Availability to work weekend evenings is essential for this position
Reliable transportation to and from the restaurant
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a rapid-paced, high-pressure environment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
A positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the kitchen team
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
Physical stamina and the ability to work in a rapid-paced environment
