Female Disability Support Worker

Shifts Available:

Wednesday & Thursday 9am - 3:30pm. Possibly Monday as well.

About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and reliable Female Disability Support Worker to join a supportive care team in Glen Iris.

In this rewarding role, you will be providing high-quality, person-centred care to a female client living with Motor Neurone Disease (MND). You will play a vital part in maintaining her independence, comfort, and quality of life in her home environment.

Key Responsibilities
Personal Care: Assist with daily routine care, hygiene, grooming, and general support (ADLs).
Physical Support: Safely execute transfers utilizing mechanical hoists and mobility equipment.
Medication Administration: Prompt medications safely according to care plans.
Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious meals suited to the client’s dietary needs.
Companionship & Care: Work collaboratively within a team to ensure a protected, dignified, and comfortable workplace.
PEG feeding experience.





Key Requirements & Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must meet the following criteria:
Experience: Proven experience working with complex physical disabilities, specifically with hoists and Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). (Experience with MND is highly regarded).
Qualification: Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care, or a related field.
NDIS Screening: Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
Certifications:
Current First Aid & CPR Certification
Current Manual Handling Certificate
Work Rights: Valid work rights in Australia.
Attributes: Punctual, empathetic, solid communicator, and a team player.
