Join the Growing Team at Modern Sounds Music – Lane Cove!

We’re looking for an awesome Vocal Teacher who can also teach Guitar and/or Piano to join our team from Term 4.

This isn’t a “build your timetable from scratch” kind of role - we already have existing students ready to transition across from one of our amazing teachers who is heading overseas for an exciting new prospect.

We’re a small, independent music school in Lane Cove with a big love for Rock, Pop, Metal and contemporary music. We’re growing, our student numbers are growing, and we’re looking for the right person to grow with us.

Current availability needed:
Wednesdays & Thursdays, approximately 2pm–9pm

Ideally, we’d love someone who can work across both days, with the opportunity for additional hours as your timetable grows.

What We’re Looking For
Strong contemporary vocal skills
Ability to also teach guitar and/or piano
A genuine love of Rock, Pop, Metal, Indie and up-to-date music
Teaching experience is great, but the right musician and personality matters just as much
Band, gigging or performance experience is a big plus
Someone who can connect with kids, teens and adults
Great communication with students,



parents and the rest of our team
A fun, adaptable teaching style - we’re not into one-size-fits-all lessons
Someone who genuinely wants to help students build confidence, creativity and a love of playing music

We’re not looking for someone to simply run through a method book every week.

We want a teacher who can find out what makes each student excited about music and help them learn it, create it and play it.
