Shire of Mundaring is seeking a Team Leader Aquatic Facilities to assist in the management and operation of our aquatic centres, ensuring secure, welcoming and high-quality experiences for our community.

About the Role
Reporting to the Coordinator Aquatic Facilities, you will play a key leadership role in the day-to-day operation of the Bilgoman and Mt Helena Aquatic Centres. You will lead and support Duty Managers, Lifeguards and Swim School staff while ensuring our facilities are secure, compliant, well maintained and customer focused.

Key responsibilities:
• assisting in the leadership and daily operations of the aquatic centres
• ensuring pool water quality and treatment systems meet all regulatory requirements
• providing technical expertise in aquatic plant, equipment and water treatment systems
• supervising and supporting Duty Managers, Lifeguards and Swim School staff
• maintaining high standards of customer service, safety and facility presentation
• supporting recruitment, training and staff development




• contributing to continuous improvement, operational efficiency and service excellence
• managing facility operations in the absence of the Coordinator Aquatic Facilities.

About You
You will be a hands-on leader with a solid understanding of aquatic facility operations and a commitment to delivering exceptional community outcomes.

To be successful, you will have:
• proven experience as a Duty Manager, Pool Supervisor or similar role within a public aquatic facility
• well-developed leadership and people management skills
• robust knowledge of pool plant operations, water treatment and aquatic facility compliance
• excellent communication and customer service skills
• sound understanding of Work Health and Safety requirements
• the ability to lead, mentor and support diverse teams
• strong administrative, reporting and organisational skills.
