Description

JOB OVERVIEW: Responsible for the provision of ground maintenance services, protected and efficient operations of front whipper snipper equipment to ensure our client’s landscaped grounds are maintained as per the site schedule and specifications.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION:
Cut edges with hand and whipper snipper.
Remove litter from garden beds and driveways Remove dead branches and leaves.
Remove dead branches and leaves.




Perform routine maintenance on whipper snipper and blower
Tasks to be carried out in a manner that causes the least inconvenience to customers, staff and the general public.
Temporary warning signs placed when required.
Operate equipment and machinery in accordance with the manufacturer’s
recommendations and the SNT operating procedures
Report maintenance and repair issues to the area supervisor.
Understand and comply with quality, safety, health and environmental policies.
Follow written instructions, verbal direction and procedures to perform work.
Challenge any instructions that you believe places anyone or the setting at risk.
Take personal responsibility to protect the health and safety of people or the setting.

Skills And Experiences

SELECTION CRITERIA:

ESSENTIALS:
Ability to work under supervision and as a team member.
Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols.
A satisfactory National Police Security Check Report.
Be physically able to perform the duties of the position
Be able to perform manual work for long periods outdoors

DESIRABLE:
Certificate I or equivalent qualification in horticulture.
Class C Driver’s Licence (manual).
Working with Children (Ochre Card)
