Due to our expanding operations, our Underground division are looking for experienced Driller Assistants. If successful, flights to & from your closest international airport and any accommodation in Perth will be covered. We have 2:1 and 2:2 rosters on offer.

What does a Driller Assistant do?

n

As a Driller Assistant, you are a valued team member supporting the secure and effective operations on a drilling rig. Your duties can include:

Working under the direction of a Driller or Drilling Supervisor undertaking various labor duties
n
Working safely and following EHS policies and procedures and conduct local risk control
n
Loading and unloading of drilling equipment and materials. Assist in rigging up/down and moving to current drill locations.
n
Handle rods and drilling tools, collect and handle samples, mix drilling fluids, carry out basic maintenance of tools and equipment, complete pre-start checks, and refuel vehicles
n

A Few Things We're Looking For

Previous experience working in a hands‐on, physically demanding role.
n
Previous offsiding experience
n
Resident of NZ (essential)
n
Current Manual C Class Driver's Licence
n
NZ Police Clearance or Australian Federal Police Clearance (or ability to provide one)
n
Ability to pass a comprehensive pre‐employment medical, including a drug and alcohol screen
n
Physical ability to lift 30kgs repetitively in a labour‐intensive role
n
Right to work in Australia
n
Demonstrated personal commitment to safety
n
A commitment to being part of a respectful workplace and work as part of a team.
