About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Trade Assistant / Rigger to join our workshop team in Naval Base, WA on a casual basis.

This role would suit someone with hands-on workshop experience who is confident assisting tradespeople, moving and positioning materials, and carrying out basic rigging activities in a busy fabrication setting.

Key Responsibilities
Assist Boilermakers, Welders and other trades in the workshop
Carry out general Trade Assistant duties as required
Assist with lifting, moving and positioning steel and fabricated components
Undertake basic rigging and dogging activities
Use workshop tools and equipment safely
Assist with loading and unloading materials
Maintain a clean, secure and organised work area
Follow all site and workshop safety procedures

To Be Successful You Will Have
Previous experience as a Trade Assistant in a workshop or fabrication setting




Rigging and dogging experience
Current High Risk Work Licence - Basic Rigging (RB) preferred
Dogging (DG) licence highly regarded
White Card
Driver's Licence
Ability to safely handle materials and work around heavy equipment
Strong safety focus and reliable work ethic
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
