About the role
This is a hands-on support role where no two days are the same. You will be supporting clients with their daily routines, activities and personal development while helping maintain a secure and positive workplace. Active overnights are a key part of these positions. Unlike a sleepover, you are awake and actively working throughout the entire night and are paid for the entire overnight shift.
Key responsibilities
Support clients with their daily routines, activities and personal development
Help maintain a safe and positive workplace
Support clients who display physical aggression, self-harming behaviours, behaviours of concern, and high-level autism and complex support needs
Respond calmly and confidently to difficult or unpredictable situations
Follow behaviour support plans and safety procedures
Work active overnight shifts remaining alert and engaged for the duration of the shift
Work independently as well as part of a team
About you
Physically capable and confident supporting clients with complex behaviours
Calm and patient under pressure
Reliable and punctual
Emotionally resilient
Comfortable working in a rural/farm environment
Able to follow behaviour support plans and safety procedures
Compassionate and respectful
Willing to learn and undertake training
Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team
Available for a combination of day and active overnight shifts
