In this pivotal role, you will support the daily management of our restaurant operations, working collaboratively with the management team to deliver exceptional service and create a thriving workplace.
You will play a crucial part in leading our team through busy service periods, fostering a culture of excellence, and ensuring every guest leaves with a memorable experience.Lead and motivate front-of-house and kitchen teams during service periods, ensuring smooth operations and maintaining high standards of service deliverySupport the Restaurant Manager in staff recruitment, induction, training and development, fostering a supportive and inclusive team environmentAssist in roster planning and scheduling to ensure adequate staffing levels and fair distribution of shiftsMonitor and maintain food safety and hygiene standards in compliance with all relevant regulations and company policiesProactively identify opportunities to enhance the guest experience and implement improvements across all service areasSupport inventory management, stock rotation and ordering processes to minimise waste and control costsUtilise Point of Sale systems and other operational tools to process transactions,



manage reservations and analyse performance dataHandle customer enquiries and complaints with empathy and professionalism, resolving issues promptly and decisivelyCollaborate with the management team to analyse financial performance, track key metrics and contribute to achieving departmental targetsMaintain detailed records of incidents, staff performance and operational matters, ensuring transparency and accountabilityWork flexibly, including evenings, weekends and public holidays, to support business requirementsQualifications**Required Skills and Experience:**Proven experience leading and motivating teams in a busy, high-volume hospitality environmentDemonstrated ability to deliver exceptional customer service consistentlyExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with staff and guestsStrong organisational and time-keeping abilities, with meticulous attention to detailProficiency with Point of Sale systems and restaurant management softwareKnowledge of food safety and hygiene practices, or willingness to obtain relevant certificationExperience in roster planning, staff scheduling and people managementProblem-solving and conflict resolution capabilitiesAbility to work collaboratively within a team and support colleaguesFlexibility to work variable hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays**Desirable Skills and Experience:**Experience in financial analysis and budget management within a restaurant settingKnowledge of inventory management and stock control systemsExperience in staff recruitment and induction processesFamiliarity with restaurant operations and proceduresPassion for continuous improvement and innovation in service deliveryExperience in analysing guest feedback and implementing service enhancementsCertification in hospitality management or food safety and hygiene**Education and Certifications:**Food Safety Supervisor Certification (or equivalent) – desirableHospitality or Restaurant Management qualification – desirableCurrent First Aid certification – desirable
