About the role

As a pivotal member of the USAfoods retail team, you will be part of providing customers with exceptional service, selling a plethora of American groceries and international goodies.

The role reports to the store manager in a fast-paced environment, assisting them with stock management, daily store upkeep, visual merchandising and retail service.

You will help those looking for a piece of home, as well as those who may be eager to indulge in something entirely new.

Key responsibilities
Greeting customers warmly, conversing with customers when at the register and answering inquiries about products
Checking out customers at the tills both with cash and card, checking on stock for customers and answering inquiries
Efficient putting away of dropped stock in the correct place, bringing in back-stock, filling fridges and completing visual merchandising
Completing with opening and closing procedures
Assist store manager in organisational tasks eg. Making sure items are correctly priced, checking stock levels in the POS system and fulfilling click and collects

Efficient: Able to both work quickly and effectively on tasks
Adaptable: Can shift seamlessly between tasks, able to accommodate customer needs, adapt to changes in products or store layout
Quick learner: Positive at picking up and retaining new skills, programs and processes
Previous retail experience required, previous grocery or high-customer-service roles desirable
Knowledge of American foods or existing expertise on US snacks or international sweets is highly preferred but not required
