With a strong focus on grounds and maintenance, you'll help maintain high standards across the property while supporting all areas of the business as needed.Working alongside the Grounds & Maintenance Team, you will be responsible for coordinating day-to-day maintenance activities, future planning, contractor management and asset improvement projects, while also remaining hands-on with daily grounds and maintenance tasks.
This is a role for someone who enjoys balancing strategic thinking with rolling up their sleeves and getting the job done.
You will also:Support the day-to-day operations of the park, ensuring everything runs like clockworkHelp create memorable guest experiences and maintain a beautifully presented parkLead,
coach and motivate team members across all areas of the businessAssist with rostering and workforce planning to keep operations running seamlesslySupport asset management, including preventative maintenance and site presentationAssist in monitoring financial performance, including labour and operating costsContribute to park upgrades, projects and continuous improvement initiativesHelp track and drive key business performance metricsChampion a strong safety culture for guests, visitors and your teamAssist with recruitment, onboarding and development of team membersLiaise with the Park Manager regarding significant maintenance issues, repairs and additional projectsThis is a rewarding and diverse role where no two days are the same.
As you will share responsibility of the after-hours phone with the Park Manager, the successful candidate must either:Live within 5-10 minutes of the park; orReside in onsite staff accommodation (available for the right candidate).
What you will bring:We're looking for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys balancing operational leadership with hands-on maintenance and grounds work.
You may currently be a Grounds & Maintenance Supervisor, Facilities Manager, Assistant Manager or Department Head looking to take the next step into a broader leadership role.Experience in a supervisory or leadership role within grounds, maintenance, facilities, tourism, hospitality or a similar operational environmentCurrent NSW Working With Children Check (Mandatory)Strong organisational and planning skills,
with the ability to prioritise competing demands and coordinate multiple projectsA genuine passion for guest experience and creating memorable staysThe ability to lead from the front and build strong, positive team cultureExperience supporting operations with Grounds & Maintenance (highly regarded)A hands-on, can-do mindset and willingness to get involved wherever neededStrong communication skills and confidence working with a range of stakeholdersCommercial awareness and an understanding of what drives operational successFlexibility, energy and a team-first attitudeWhat's in it for you?
