We are a well-established Australian manufacturer producing high-quality precision components, with a strong focus on innovation and continuous improvement.We are seeking an experienced Manager to lead our Machine Shop team, manage machining operations and support the delivery of production requirements.The Role Includes:Plan and prioritise daily production schedules to meet throughput targetsAllocate staff to machines and jobs based on skill level and job complexityLead, coach and develop machinists and operators to build team capabilityCo-ordinate the CNC machine set-up and ensure SOP complianceLiaise with the production team on scheduling and prioritiesMonitor output against targets and resolve bottlenecksConduct root cause analysis and troubleshootingMaintain a secure, clean and orderly workplaceThis role requires strong people management as well as technical capability, with responsibility for team performance, clear direction,



accountability and day-to-day leadership.To be successful in this role, you will bring:Degree or Advanced Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent trade experience)Minimum of five years' experience managing and leading a CNC workshop teamExperience scheduling and prioritising production to meet throughput targetsBroad knowledge of CNC Lathe and Milling machining processesProficient in the use of measuring and quality control equipmentStrong root cause analysis and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and coaching skillsHigh level of attention to detailA team player approach!
