We are seeking an experienced and motivated Maintenance Fitter to join our team at our up-to-date manufacturing facility in Crestmead, Queensland.
n
This is an exciting opportunity for a hands‐on tradesperson who enjoys working in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment and takes pride in keeping production equipment operating safely, efficiently and reliably.
n
What does a typical day look like?
n
As a Maintenance Fitter, you will be responsible for preventative maintenance, equipment servicing and responding to breakdowns across the Snapfresh production facility.
n
Your role will be critical in ensuring our plant, machinery and services remain safe, reliable and available to support daily production.
n
In a nutshell, your main responsibilities are:
n
n
Respond promptly to equipment and machinery breakdowns.
n
Ensure plant, equipment and services are operational and safe at the start of each production day.
n
Carry out preventative and scheduled maintenance across the site.
n
Ensure equipment and services availability for production.
n
Provide maintenance support to the entire site.
n
Complies with company and legislative requirements with respect to OHS, workers compensation and rehabilitation.
n
Assist management to comply with OH&S; duty of care.
n
Supervises work activities to ensure safe working practices are adopted.
n




Assists in HIRAC hazard identification, risk and control.
n
Complies with company and legislative requirements with respect to food safety and environmental systems.
n
Authority and responsibility for aspects of the food safety and environmental systems as documented in the relevant section of the Quality Assurance Program.
n
Share information and ideas and actively encourage participation from others.
n
Carry out preventative maintenance on all equipment and services.
n
Complete work orders from MEX system.
n
Ensure preventative maintenance is completed on schedule and work requests completed within a required time.
n

What do you need to be successful in securing this role?
n
n
Demonstrated experience in a similar Maintenance Fitter or Mechanical Fitter role.
n
Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Fitting and Turning) or equivalent qualification.
n
Experience working within a manufacturing environment, preferably food manufacturing.
n
Detailed understanding of food production processes and equipment.
n
Proven analytical and problem‐solving skills is desirable.
n
Excellent organizational skills and ability to work within strict timelines.
n
Ability to communicate with operational staff is desirable.
n




Proven track record in achieving KPIs is desirable.
n
Ability to identify process improvements and provide feedback is desirable.
n
As you will be working in the Aviation Services industry, you will be required to obtain a clear National Police Check.
